Crashes

I’m not able to start a costum game…. they said that I have to resume a game instead of create one Help me, :

I bought this game thinking that it was going to be endless fun for me, but i’m very dissapointed with it to say the least. I found that there was little to no instruction on how to go about playing the game. It’s not very straight forward, i watched a couple tutorials online and then read the tutorials that come with the game yet i havent found what i’m looking for. Another point that i would like to make is that there are no keyboard shortcuts within the game. I read a review here that said the same thing, but thought to myself “I don’t need keyboard shortcuts.” I was wrong, it would’ve been much more simplistic if you could ocasionally use the enter key at times, but you are unable to. Overall i am dissapointed with this game, and i was surprised at the high ratings that it has received.

I loved this game the very first time I played it! The first time I played though was on a pretty underpowered system (G4 Cube!) so the gameplay was a little limited, but I could see the potential right from the start! Now on my reasonably new MBP, this game plays brilliantly! Great concept and love the fact that all the expansions are included in a single purchase!

I love this game the only thing is the option to use music from itunes wont work, when everything is loaded up and i put some speakers on in the game and turn them on and turn up the volume its quite, no sound which is a little annoying but not something that kills the game. I would love for Apple to fix that so the game would be better. Also the graphics are not what I would pay so much for. I did get it on sale for $10 but still quite expensive. I know Apple wont give my money back nor do i want it back, all i want is Apple to improve the graphics and it would be an overall good game.

So I have all of the original PC CD - ROMS and I was sad to hear and see that it didnt work on my Mac. Well I came accross this amazing app and just love it for as it is set at a great price. As well it also works amazing and the graphics are wonderful. I love it!!! :D Thanks developers and Apple.

This game fell short due to a lack of userability. I grew up playing Simcity and this was not comparable in terms of user controls and ease of use. The concept is great and the game has a lot of potential. The creators should go waaaay back to the drawing board and come up with an interface that is thought out and more enjoyable to navigate. Thanks for taking my money, use it to make a better game. *growl*

I played this game since the very first RCT was released and they still have yet to disappoint. I love the idea of having all three of their newest games all into a bundle for this low of a price. Haven’t had any problems other then it lagging a bit.. and when starting up it stalls for a bit. But that may only be because my mac recently just got a virus. I’m only giving five stars for right now because of the lagging issue and because the zoom is WAY too sensitive. Overall excellent game and can not wait to see what they’ll come out with next!

Love the idea but there needs to be an undo button!!!

Eveytime i open this game it crashes…..Dont waste your money….been like this for weeks

This is a long time favourite, never had any issues. But all of a sudden the game keeps crashing! Please help me before I start to go through withdrawls!!!

Im fairly new to the game, but I really do enjoy playing it! It is overall a lot of fun, and allows for hours of procrastination when needed. I do have a few issues that make it a little difficult to play sometimes. I find that zooming is very sensitive and goes way too quickly. I also noticed the lack of keyboard shortcuts so I went out and bout a cheap mouse to play the game better. One last thing is that when I was trying to do the tutorial for the water ride building, it would not show me the position of the beginning highlighted square, so I feel pretty clueless since I cannot move forward without placing the initial ride piece. Would love to see that last one fixed in the future as I am still clueless on that bit for the most part. Still, great game and worth the money!

The game has a totally different skin and mechanics compared to Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. It feels like a less sophisticated and reduced version of the game. The more “realistic” graphics don’t serve the game well because it looks amateurish. I was expecting a bigger and better version of RCT 2 and it’s like a completely different (and budget version) of the game.

This is the first thing I did: 1. Built rollercoaster. 2. Set admission price to $5. 3. “I can’t afford to ride!” says civilian. 4. Lowers it to $4.90 5. “I won’t ride, its to unsafe!” says civilian. 6. Buys mechanic 7. “Let’s do this!” says civilian. 8. Me: :) 9. After the ride ends, civilian throws up on path. 10. Me: :(

It’s rollercoaster tycoon what can I say, I played the pervious one’s 1 and 2 and this is a lot better saying that it’s roller coaster tycoon. Though it gets boring after a while, overall though it’s pretty good game if you are looking to buy it. It does crash the odd time though not 2 often. It also takes a lot of juice (battery) when running the game so make sure you have a charger on you.

It appears that Aspyr failed to consider that if one owned a mac, that there is a good chance they use a mouse from Apple too… Brand new MacBook Pro with the Magic Mouse. Too many features in the game require using the mouse wheel or pressing both left & right buttons. Pretty crappy I need to buy a different mouse. Additionally, I have a new hi-def 26” monitor that is connect via HDMI. The game insists on running off laptop’s monitor instead of the monitor I launch the game from. Only solution I have seen so far is to: 1. Plug in power code 2. Close laptop. This moves the laptop’s display fully onto 2nd monitor. 3. Launch game. Technically steps 2 & 3 can be done in reverse order. 4. Now the window’s action bar appears when it was firmly locked on the system menu bar (top of display) without the standard frame (which includes the 3 buttons found in the upper left of most windows. You can drag this around whereas before there was nothing to grab hold of to drag. If you then re-open laptop up, the game’s window moves back to an awkward place on the laptop’s monitor. But at least you can then drag it back to the preferred monitor.

The graphics of this game is absolutely aweful. The pictures are very misleading and ridculous that it was $20 to download and find out it was garbage

Okay, I love this game. I really do. I love everything about the RCT3 series. However This game is ment for PC not Apple. I understand that. However this does mean dealing with glitches. If there was an up date I would love if water and track and other elements didnt go solid white if you ride them at night in game. Patch???

i decided to buy this game for my macbook air after watching my girlfriend play this game on her iMac every day for the past week. This game is sick and reminds us both of our childhoods, i forgot how fun these games really were!! Secondly, what are people talking about bad graphics?? This game is over a DECADE old, are you guys really those gamers who complain that an old game as “bad” graphics? Really time to get to work on that career you gave up on my dude.
